COLTON® is keeping the spirit of summer alive as a series of successful community gatherings continues to bring neighbors together to celebrate and connect. Residents, prospective homebuyers and visitors are invited to the next Savory Sounds of Summer event, featuring live music by local musician Chad Ware, family-friendly activities and delicious bites available for purchase from food truck The French Corner.
The July 30 event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the COLTON Model Home Loop, 42030 Texoma Way, Todd Mission, TX 77316. Guests can relax with family, friends and neighbors while experiencing the community’s signature Quintessential Texas Living. The complimentary event is open to the public, with one final Savory Sounds of Summer gathering scheduled for Aug. 20, featuring local musician Paul Byron and food truck Manna from Heaven.
The summer series has already brought the community together through memorable celebrations. The first Savory Sounds of Summer event in June welcomed residents and prospective homebuyers for an evening of live music, local food and family fun. Families filled the community with children riding scooters, neighbors catching up and friends dancing together under the Texas sky while enjoying James Coney Island, ice cream and a performance by local artist Brandon Michael.
The celebrations continued July 3 with Freedom Fest, COLTON’s inaugural Independence Day event commemorating America’s 250th birthday. Residents gathered dressed in patriotic red, white and blue to enjoy an evening of hometown spirit, festive activities and family-friendly fun. Families proudly participated in a decorated bike parade, filling the community with patriotic creativity and small-town charm, while a City of Magnolia firetruck made a special stop, delighting residents of all ages and adding to the festive celebration.
While visiting July 30, guests can also tour 14 model homes featuring exclusive architectural elevations by Texas’ best homebuilders, showcasing homes priced from the $300s to more than $1 million.
Visitors who tour any COLTON model home through Aug. 31 can also enter the Texas Getaways Sweepstakes for a chance to win one of three getaways to iconic Texas destinations that inspired the community’s vision. No purchase is necessary to enter, and one winner is selected during each monthly entry period.
